This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which  we, Polyglot Station LLC and Lisbeth Mendez Santana (“School,” “Us,” or “We)   collect, use, maintain and disclose information collected from users (each, a “Student”) of School through  www.dominicanbridge.teachable.com (“Website”). This Privacy Policy applies to School and all Courses offered by the School.


1. Collection of Your Personal Information

We may collect personal identification information from Students in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when Students enroll in the School or a Course within the School, subscribe to a newsletter, and in connection with other activities, services, features, or resources we make available in our School. Students may visit the School anonymously. We will collect personal identification information from Students only if they voluntarily submit such information to us. Students can refuse to supply personal identification information but doing so may prevent them from engaging in certain School related activities.

 

2. How we use collected information

The School may collect and use Students’ personal identification information for the following purposes:


  •  To improve customer service
    Information you provide helps us respond to your customer service requests and support needs more efficiently.
  •  To personalize user experience
    We may use information in the aggregate to understand how our Students as a group use the services and resources provided in our School.
  • To send periodic emails
    We may use Student email addresses to send Students information and updates pertaining to their order. Student email addresses may also be used to respond to Student inquiries, questions, or other requests.

Our use of cookies assists you when you begin to type our Website. You computer may autofill URLs based on its cookied memory. They can help remember and autofill things like user IDs and website preferences.

4. Email

Email is the backbone of most online marketing in the twenty-first century. Your email is valuable to us, and your privacy is valuable to you. We take care to ensure that your email other data is used in a respectful manner, and we keep your email confidential. We do not sell or in any way share your email in exchange for remuneration. Occasionally, School does partner with third parties to provide joint education, resources, products, or services. In these cases, your participation is deemed consent for us to share any information you provide to us to that third party.

School’s emails will comply with applicable laws including the CAN-SPAM act. Each email will clearly identify that it is from the School along with a place for you to unsubscribe from our email list. Occasionally, the technological systems we rely on to remove you from our email list may fail to unsubscribe you. If you continue receiving unwanted emails, please reach out to School directly at students@lislanguages.com and we will manually remove you.

Unsubscribing from School’s email list will remove you from our routine promotional emails and informational emails about podcasts, blog posts, and other resources we may have to share. However, you may still receive information about programs, services, or products you have bought from School.


5. Information Disclosures

School will disclose your personal information only when necessary to provide services, programs, or products to you, or when necessary to work with third parties like lawyers or collection agencies to enforce these terms or any other terms between you and School. We may also disclosure you information when we are otherwise legally required to do so.

Student may find advertising or other content in our School that link to the websites and services of our partners, suppliers, advertisers, sponsors, licensors and other third parties. We do not control the content or links that appear on these websites and are not responsible for the practices employed by websites linked to or from our School. In addition, these websites or services, including their content and links, may be constantly changing. These websites and services may have their own privacy policies and customer service policies. Browsing and interaction on any other website, including websites which have a link to our Student, is subject to that website's own terms and policies.

 

7. How we protect your information 

We make best efforts to ensure the security of your information using industry standards and reasonable methods. We rely on reputable and reliable third-party vendors to collect basic information. 


8. Policy changes

School has the discretion to update this Privacy Policy at any time. We encourage Students to frequently check this page for any changes. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review this Privacy Policy periodically and become aware of modifications.


9. Visitor’s GDPR rights

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a law that governs information and privacy rights for people within the European Union. Those rights include:

We will retain the any information you choose to provide to us until the earlier of: (a) you asking us to delete the information, (b) our decision to cease using our existing data providers, or (c) the School decides that the value in retaining the data is outweighed by the costs of retaining it.

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority that has jurisdiction over issues related to the General Data Protection Regulation.

We require only the information that is reasonably required to enter into a contract with you. We will not require you to provide consent for any unnecessary processing as a condition of entering into a contract with us.

School does not knowingly collect, either online or offline, personal information from persons under the age of thirteen. If you are under 18, you may use the Website with permission of a parent or guardian.

By enrolling in the School, you signify your acceptance of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to this Privacy Policy, please do not enroll in the School. Your continued enrollment in the School following the posting of changes to this Privacy Policy will be deemed your acceptance of those changes.
